I currently offer video sessions/online services. I use a HIPAA compliant platform for video sessions. Telephone sessions are also an option, but are considered on a case by case basis for safety & clinical reasons. Online services has been a fantastic outlet for mental health needs and healing while in the comfort of the persons own home. It’s also a great option for those that do not have childcare, or live in other areas of the state/country where commuting may be a barrier.

Results I’ve found to consider before booking an online session:

  • no commute and less session time wasted with getting stuck in traffic. Exclusive privacy vs. waiting in the waiting room and possibly crossing paths with someone you know, but might not be in the space to see at the moment.

  • having no childcare works for certain ages (those old enough to be unsupervised in order for sessions to be as private as possible for focus and processing). If your little one is still small, I recommend nap time sessions or getting a sitter.

  • internet connection matters, sitting closer to the router helps.

  • far less cancellations.

  • some like the comfort of their home and are able to go “deeper” in their safe space with animals, etc.

  • some miss office space due to lack of privacy in their home during session times.

  • healing can happen anywhere where there is privacy & service: parks, parking lots, trails, vehicles, work office (I don’t recommend but sometimes in the only option).

  • some seem more comfortable and relaxed to wear pajamas, lounge wear (i’m all about it), eat snacks that don’t disrupt session, or enjoy a beverage they like (no alcohol can be consumed during session).

  • pets are allowed and offer comfort for many.
